"Any issues we had were dealt with professionally. My credit card was accidentally left near a register and led to two days of angst trying to find it. Even though the error was an oversight by a staff member all the staff that I asked for help did. They were terrific....and they found it. The hotel is billed as a boutique hotel which assumes good fit and finish. That is not the case. There was a lot of scuffed floorboards, an air conditioner that appeared to be put in its place by eighth graders. The elevator had some paint or other stuff on its walls continuing with the fit and finish issue. The room was cleaned every day with no one suggesting the environmental advantages of not cleaning it...;). We also left our room late usually and the hotel still cleaned the room, made the beds etc. Well done! The room was very small but it did have a spectacular view of Lincoln Park and Lake Michigan. We lived out of our suitcases given the lack of space. There was no room to put down a yoga mat....and barely enough room at the "health club" for the yoga mat as wall. However, almost no one was in the gym during our stay so for two people it was fine. The price was about $100 per day more than usual which made our expectations higher. However, at its traditional price (based on Hotel.com pricing) the hotel was fine."
