"The room we initially booked was advertised as having a partial ocean view. Our view was mostly of a parking lot. We expressed our disappointment and were upgraded to the most beautiful room with a fantastic view of the beach!"

"Upon arrival I waited at the front check-in desk for about 15 minutes as two staff members talked to each other while another guest checked in with the other receptionist who was struggling to do their job. The two staff members who were at the other check-in desk chatting did not greet me, did not say "someone will be with you in a moment sir," etc., they simply enjoyed some personal conversation and ignored me. Eventually I asked them if they could help me and they said "sorry for your wait," but this rang hollow. It ended up needing to leave the property without staying the night and was charged $203 on my card on file (in addition to what I paid on Expedia for the reservation) with zero pre-authorization or explanation (I didn't really use the room and I definitely didn't buy anything)"
