"Now, THIS is a hotel. Unlike my last stay (at the Moxie in downtown NYC) the Strand does not skimp on the amenities. The room was spacious and fully equipped, the bed comfortable, the service excellent. The location across the river is both extremely close to the heart of Limerick while not being stuck in the middle of it. I would not recommend eating at The River (the in-hotel restaurant) though. My meals were mediocre at best. But that's my only quibble. "

"Centrally located, very clean with friendly staff and a great breakfast included in the rate. Only small improvement- we paid extra for an early check-in and the room was not ready when we arrived at 1:30-2:00pm. There seemed to be a communication mishap and staff were unaware. It was corrected within 10 minutes and we had our room, so well done. "

"Had a fantastic 3 nights at Mary’s beautiful b&b which is set in the most stunning location. Mary could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Our room was immaculate and very comfortable, breakfast was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed dinner at the restaurant. The weather was fantastic so we were able to sit and relax in the lovely courtyard. We’ll be back!"
