"Nice private bungalows all close to the beach."

"We had a wonderful stay 2-night stay at the Shantaa during our recent trip to Koh Kood. We felt instantly relaxed upon arrival. The rooms were well spaced and very private feeling. The food at the restaurant was nice and we thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast experience. The staff were amazing and we weree well looked after. "

"We booked a family bungalow for 3 nights but left after the first. The room was not properly cleaned. The floors were dirty, there was a used tissue in the bed, and one pillow had red stains. The AC barely worked, there were mosquitoes everywhere, and the upstairs bed was just a mattress on the floor. The layout was poorly designed. The TV was far from the bed, and the toilet is basically inside the shower so everything gets wet. Water pressure was also very weak. The biggest issue was the AC, which shuts off every time you leave the room and never cooled the space. WiFi constantly disconnected and breakfast was mediocre. We didn’t bother speaking to the front desk after reading reviews about unhelpful management. For about $200 per night, this felt worse than a hostel. Would not recommend. "

"I truly cannot fault this beautiful location, accommodation, & family run business, with fantastic attention to every detail. The pool is set among the most beautiful gardens, & is truly inviting. The whole experience here has made our stay here fabulous on the very best side of this island. Food, company, help & advice, nearby cafe of quality, & whole vibe of this place should cost a lot more. We give every good wish for continued good business to the lovely couple who own & run it. Gold stars all round are really well deserved for this small fabulous place of real quality. A unique experience. You shouldn’t think of staying anywhere else. I highly recommend it, & I am sorry to have to leave. "

"Ive stayed here twice before & always been welcomed by the polite & friendly staff, our room was extremely clean & was always asked if it needed cleaning every morning excellent buffet breakfast & fresh eggs cooked to order. "I enjoyed four nights in a bungalow on the front line of Kae Bae beach. The accommodation was very comfortable and it was such a pleasure to look directly out to the beach and water from the front door. And there was a lovely porch there to sit on and enjoy the scenery. In addition, the entire staff was very friendly and helpful. The town area is just a 6-7 minute walk away, but a concierge was available to take me in a cart. Lots of dining and massage options in the town area. Overall, I had a great stay and will hope to return one day…"
