"The hotel is perfectly placed to walk to the temple, lake and market. A 20 min walk of brief tuk tuk ride from the station. Reasonably comfortable bed with a private en-suite. The only issue was that one wall of the room is a floor to ceiling window that looks onto the hallway and lets in light from the hall until it is switched off around 11pm. So maybe ask which rooms might be best if you prefer the dark! Air con very good and warm shower. The food is delicious, both breakfast and dinner....

"Good sized room, but bathroom smelled damp with a whiff of sewerage and the shower backed up until I resorted to cleaning it out, which was not a pleasant task. Overall cleanliness was adequate though the floor was dirty and the room wasn't cleaned during the three days I was there. Pictures of the hotel make it look as though it's further back from the road than it is and some people may find the noise of horn-happy traffic from around 06:00 until 22:00 disturbing if in a room at the front....

"Good location and close to everything There is no elevator and reception desk in on first floor but the guy in reception help you and thats need to call him from down stairs. This hotel looks like motel more than hotel. In the room there is no facilities like fridge, electric kettle, glass… if you need glass or plate just needs ask reception. I need blanket but blanket was dirty. Breakfast was good and staffs are friendly."

"The views from this hotel are beautiful. The location is very hard to find, in spite of signage, which had faded from the sun. Google Maps does not take you directly to the hotel, instead it has you driving anywhere but to the hotel. The hotel staff seemed frazzled and disorganized. The dinner was a buffet, while not delicious, it was sustenance. However, the cleaning staff and staff in the restaurant were very kind and accommodating."

There’s a filtered water fountain with reusable glass bottles you can take to your room. The hotel organised a car and driver for us; both the car and the driver were very good, which is not always the case in Sri Lanka. There’s not many good eating options nearby, but we did find a good little restaurant across the road which did excellent dosas. It’s easy to get a tuk tuk to wherever you want to go. "
