"The rooms are old and outdated. We found our room very musty. The staff didnโt seem very responsive to this concern. Since we were staying only one night, we dealt with the room, opened windows all night and put fan on medium/high. The positive things were the hotel location is excellent. Restaurant service and food was excellent."

"Don't judge a book by its cover...and don't judge a hotel by its lobby. The common areas of this hotel are pretty shabby, but the rooms are updated and great. Comfortable bed, new shower and bathroom...small but functional. The King bed room I was in had two sinks which made up for the small bathroom. Critical to know that the parking (paid) is accessible from the backstreet immediately BEHIND the hotel! Staff were very helpful and friendly. But the best thing about this hotel is the location...a block from English Bay Beach, and Stanley Park!"
