Calgary 3 Stars Hotels

"The room was a bit run down. The shower head area was moldy and badly patched. Pool closed. Bad sound proofing. The door across the way had a huge gap."

"DO NO STAY HERE!! No towels at all in our room (bath, hand, or face—only a bath mat). Missing lamps only 3 pillows on a king bed, the toilet doesn’t flush, and the shower is dirty. The walls are not soundproof—the neighbour’s door has been opening every 30 seconds since 3am. There was only one sheet and a very small blanket. We asked for towels at 3am and still didn’t have them by 7am. The room phone had no information, so we had to Google to call the front desk. No one answered the first three calls. When someone finally did, they said towels would arrive in 30 minutes—they never came. When we realized towels were not arriving and were leaving there was a women in the stairwell using drugs. Earlier, around 3am, we followed a prostitute into the hotel."

"The hotel is clean well taken care of but the bed was horrible. We had 2 days of seminars and very little sleep. I compare the bed to throwing a couple blankets on the floor and trying to sleep. The pillows were heavy and thick they were uncomfortable. I asked the staff for something else they gave us 2 more blankets that did nothing to help. They could have offered another room but did not."

"The room door doesn’t close without literally body slamming it shut and all night you will hear other guests doors slamming shut. There was tape on the pipes under the bathroom. I paid over two hundred and fifty dollars for one night. And heard yelling outside the room all night. The rooms are no where near sound proof. There was a stain on the sheets. "

"The shuttle to and from the airport is fast and convenient. The rooms are large and clean, with large bathrooms. The breakfast is convenient and good for the price. I’ve now stayed here twice going through Calgary, and will pick it again for our next trip."

"If you don’t have a breakfast voucher, check out the Garden Court restaurant and try their “North 40” breakfast. Consists of 7 oz steak done (perfectly) to order, plus bacon strips, hashbrowns, toast … $20 is a good value !"
