Working with the front desk, staff was awkward. During each breakfast, there was a gentleman sitting on the edge of the patio, smoking cigarettes the entire time we were eating. The wind blew all that smoke across into all the seats. He seemed like an owner or manager, But he never really did anything. His friends would come...

"From the very start till the time we checked out, the staff were very welcoming and attentive to our needs. The hotel was of high quality and the rooms were modern and spacious. The pool was an added bonus. The hotels location is within 5 mins walk to the restaurants and bars and only a 10 min walk to the beach. Overall we had the perfect stay and will 100% be re-visiting in the future. "

"Highly recommend this lovely family run hotel in a quiet location outside rethymno. Beach is down the road. The entire staff/family was warm, welcoming and professional. All our needs were addressed with joy and compassion. The hosts offered detailed advice about all the great places to visit. My husband had a health issue and we were pointed to the best clinic. As well, due to the issue, extra care was taken in our room. Truly a gem of a small hotel!"

"While the property is new and beautiful it is not those esthetics that stand out for me. After flying for hours from from Rome, the nightmare of airport security and arriving in your new destination in the dark the brightest star was the most welcoming lady at the front desk - Theoploti. I had just finished a jam packed tour of Italy with massive crowds at places like the Roman Forum and The Colosseum. To arrive to such solitude and quiet was a joy like no other. No one giving me attitude...

"From airport to the property it’s about 20mins and costs about 30 euros. The property is nice in the sense that it’s away from Heraklion which is very busy, but still close enough to walk to the city (took my wife and I 40 mins while stopping at places along the way). The property is a lot smaller than what was shown in the pictures but nice if you just looking for a place to stay and don’t care about luxury. It’s a 2 min walk to the beach and has a grocery store 1 min away, couple good...

"Amazing hotel, located next to the beach (just need to cross the road). Very friendly staff and attentive. One evening there were rain and they offered us umbrella and there was other small details to make our stay better. We had a room with sea view. Room was clean, had fridge and electric stove, so you can warm your food. Also they had plates and cutlery. There is no parking next to the hotel, but we find a space just in 2 minutes walk. City centre is in walking distance. "

"The Savus Boutique Hotel was perfect. The service and attentiveness by Lucia, Alexandria, and Gianni’s? Were great. Perfect size, big enough to be a full business- small enough for personal attention. English is spoken by staff. Breakfast on the large patio is perfect for several guests at a time, and the food was a great combo of cold and hot dishes plus prepared eggs! Location is right at the line between old town and the newer section. We will stay there again if our travels take us to Crete."
