"Artemis is set up a quiet lane just off the main road, so there was very little noise. It is very peaceful, being close to the beach with good tavernas and a bus stop all nearby. With only about 20 rooms/apartments, it wasn’t too big, and we got to know most of the people staying there. Breakfast was very nice, with plenty of choice. "We visited Balito with a family of 7 and had the most wonderful stay. The hotel is small but updated and it is run by a wonderful family who makes you feel at home. The pool area is lovely and the breakfast and coffee is perfect in the morning. The rooms were good for our large family (we had two rooms with 3 beds each) and the area is very walkable. "I highly recommend this family- run business. No much luxury facilities, however, staying here is absolutely feeling at home. The owner, Mrs. Roula is so sweet and so friendly that you could not even think of moving to a bigger accommodation. A daily room cleaning with once in a while surprises of home-made sweets or bowl of fruits makes your stay more exciting. Only a stone away to beach restaurants and shops. A simple hotel- apartment but comfortable to stay. "

"I booked 2 separate rooms believing the location was on Chania center as the map points to. But when we arrived to Chania and took a taxi, the location was much further out than we anticipated. Even right before I submitted my experience, the map still points to the center of Chania, but in all due respect, the staff were more than cordial and very helpful as they coordinated my excursions to the Samia Gorge and 3 more locations."
