"French Country House is a rare find. We absolutely loved everything about it. Romantic, charming rural setting with stunning views of the coast and Mount Manganui. The ambience is wonderful. You feel like you are living in your own little French chateau surrounded by stunning decor. It’s définitely a million miles away from a standard corporate hotel. "I was well cared for at the House with No Nails! The property is beautiful & clean, & in a gorgeous rural setting set amidst mountains, big blue skies, & farm animals. The house is an easy 25 minute drive from the Hobbiton set in Matamata, which was my plan while in this area of NZ. Highly recommended!"

"This is a wonderful place to stay. We only had one night here but this would be a wonderful place to take a few days to decompress after a week or two of being on the road, traveling NZ. The kitchen is huge with plenty of space. Each room has its own full size fridge and we had a private bathroom. The bathroom is not en suite but right next door and comes with a key so you can lock your things away if you wish. The property is beautiful, quiet, and has 200 avocado trees that you can walk under and relax. The public areas are very clean and the rooms are a good size. The location is in the county with a small town near by. The hosts were very kind and responsive. This is a nice out of the way place that I would love to visit again."

A great place to stay

"A lovely, clean and well established tourist park. We had a deluxe cabin and it was spacious, quiet and very well appointed. A very comfortable stay, close to the beach for an early morning walk. Laundry facilities were terrific and the manager was very helpful and welcoming."
