This is an older quaint hotel but very clean, has AC, very large hot breakfast (optional), walking distance 15-20 mins to all the main attractions. Five min walk to the shopping district. Many restaurants walking distance.
Small room but large bathroom, very nice sheets and towels, and very nice toiletries. Bed is very comfortable. Has a mini bar and snacks but no coffee/tea in the room which is the first time I see this in a 4 star hotel. Would be easy to put a kettle and tea / instant coffee packages. There is an excellent coffee shop / restaurant called Sensorio Coffee Lab about 100 m away (when you exit hotel, go left). This place gets 5 star google reviews. Coffee and chai tea, excellent sandwiches, they do brunch, desserts. It’s a real gem. We would stay at this hotel again only to be able to eat there again.
The fire alarm went off for 45 mins at 6am because someone was smoking in their room. Well that got us up moving quickly. The streets of Rome were dead quiet - only 3-4 people at Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. So a blessing in disguise. The hotel has a bar, sitting area with baby grand piano, and a beautiful courtyard. The staff at the hotel were super nice especially Francisco.
