"Beautiful rooms and groubds"

"The First Colony Inn is a lovely old property in a great location for visiting the Outer Banks. Our room was spacious, clean and well appointed. Buffet breakfast choices were very good and the hot option varied each day. There's a wonderful beach opposite the inn and a good selection of restaurants and shops nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return."

"Beautiful 100 year old house. Our suite was roomy & we had everything that we needed, including plush robes. The rate was very reasonable & included an excellent free breakfast every morning plus a glass of wine & a charcuterie plate @ 5PM! The only downside was that the house & grounds could use a little TLC. Regardless, we enjoyed our stay & plan to come back again."

"So charming! Service is lovely, the building is beautiful, and two courses of delicious breakfast out on the porch was a dream. A super quick drive to everything going on downtown, or a longer walk if you don't mind a good stroll. Would repeat this stay!"

"Loved this place & its quirkiness. You definitely need to notice the fine print which I may not have fully but isn’t a true B&B. However, there are plenty of free breakfast continental items and specialty coffees and teas for your enjoyment. Self service what you want and how ever much you want. Snacks and drinks always available. Saw a staff member 1 time in almost a 2 days; however, the modern & convenient text service works fantastic!! I did have to use & got immediate responses. "The Hanna House was a random find on our part for a last minute weekend getaway. The owner is so nice and friendly and an amazing chef! Her breakfasts are delicious! The location is perfect and close to everything in downtown New Bern. We recommend this B&B and will definitely health be back! "

"Great historic property near downtown Edenton. Greeted by inn keeper and shown to our nicely appointed second floor room.Walked to our supper a couple blocks away close to the riverfront. Recommend for couples or single travelers. Excellent breakfast included."

"I loved everything about my stay. The hostess, Sharla, was an absolute gem. She allowed my mom and I to check in earlier than the original time, which made it easier to get to the concert venue in enough time. She truly made my experience one that I will never forget. I will come back to visit when I am in Greensboro again. She was helpful with giving us ideas of places to go and things to do. The room was clean and the bed was so comfortable.
