"Enjoyed the location very much, easy 15 minute walk into Westport. Our room was clean and stocked with coffee and tea. Patrice provided us some excellent dining suggestions. Our only issue is the plumbing in the bathroom. The toilet was tricky, the hot and cold taps on the sink were reversed and the shower was slow draining. Having said that we would stay again with the understanding that we did not book a 4 star B&B, nor did we pay the price for one. Overall good value for the money."

"We ended up staying in Hotel Newport at very short notice. Staff were lovely and although rooms were dated, they were clean. Did not spot the kettle the first night so was disappointed by that as I thought there was none. However, the cupboard that contained the tea/coffee etc was pointed out to me the next day - would have preferred it's location to be more obvious. "The Old Mill Hostel is housed in a historic building dating back to around 1780, it brings a lot of charm to the place while everything has been well renovated. The staff is very welcoming. "Our stay was excellent. Beautiful cottage in an excellent location, close to Castlebar with good road connections for touring the beautiful county of Mayo. The hosts Declan and Laura are very welcoming and very accommodating. Absolutely lovely people. A real genuine "Cead Mile Failte" is felt here.
