My husband I stayed at Kumala Pantai for the first time. To be honest I can’t fault the place. If ever there was a problem with anything they fixed it very quickly. Restaurant “The Sand” has amazing pizzas and all the food is reasonably priced. Great location, close to beach and great restaurants and shopping. If you are looking for a party place, this is not it, however suited us.

Stayed at Kumala Pantai for 8 days after recommendations from a number of friends and reading past reviews. The good: the pool was fabulous, our room location to pool also excellent, nice size rooms and balcony, housekeeping great, security staff really friendly as were the ground staff and pool house staff Location to the beach and shops restaurants excellent. The not so good: the reception staff when checking in we found a bit rude. This was our third resort during our stay in Bali and all others had been super friendly. Breakfast which previous reviews had said was fabulous we found very much the same every day and although tasty got pretty boring. One local dish and either rice or noodles plus usual western fare. We had been spoilt at previous locations with a variety of local dishes and lots of veggies each morning. Found some morning serving staff rather indifferent and getting a tea or coffee took awhile. Sometimes we had to ask a number of times. We had a couple of evening meals there and the was food delicious and staff appeared much friendlier. I understand it’s a big resort but being shown to a table and offered a tea or coffee is the pretty standard at every other place we have stayed worldwide. That doesn’t happen here. Shame as breakfast is usually my favourite part of the day on holidays!!
