"This property was very lovely. It was incredibly clean and offered many amenities. The unit itself was large with plenty of space, and very clean and comfortable. The area around it is quite and beautiful being right on the water! The walk to town isn’t too bad but there are dining options and a few stores nearby too. The staff were all incredibly welcoming and friendly. I would stay here again! "

"This retreat hotel is close to the airport. Argostoli is about 20 mins drive. Room was spacious with a small kitchen. Access to beach is a short 2 min drive from hotel. Staff was attentive and gave us useful travel tips and driving directions. Restaurant menu offered limited choices but we were able to pre-order seafood dishes in advance and the hotel chef then ordered from the local fish market. We noticed water to contain sediment not sure if because of water filtering or water salt issues. "

"Avithos resort looks as good as the photos. Chose this resort because of the kitchenette so that I could make food in the apartment and it didn’t disappoint. The kitchen has everything you need, except they don’t provide washing up liquid and sponge. It was lovely sitting out on the balcony for dinner or a drink. "We spent 2 weeks in August at Maria’s. Lovely apartments with beautiful surroundings and a gorgeous view. Apartments were basic but had everything we needed. There is a hairdryer (which isn’t mentioned in the description). Check in was easy, we had a late arrival and were advised in advance of our apartment number beforehand and access instructions. Housekeeping was daily and maids were very friendly. As mentioned previously, it is a steep hill up to the apartments but we found it walkable....

Negatives: very strong smell in the apartment, most likely coming from the bathroom; the bathtub was very filthy, not cleaned and we have not been able to use it. "As the booking was made we had a very good instinct that this was the right property. From viewing the pictures we were not expecting the Kitchenette, we were able to eat cooked breakfasts and dinners on the balconies and made our trips easier and lighter to focus on activities.
