"I thought that this was a very pleasant hotel where the staff could not have been more friendly or more helpful. Full credit to them. The room was very clean and comfortable and had a beautiful sea view. The operation of the lighting was a bit too complex, but this was just a detail - a bit of over-engineering from its recent refurbishment in what is otherwise a very good hotel."

"It’s a special place and beautifully renovated mansion. The bed was large enough and comfortable with modern amenities with high ceiling, big windows, a/c. Breakfast was delicious with variety of local specialties. It’s very well located to the nearest central square with restaurants, and shops. Nearby open farmers market and the old town as well as the Castle. Definitely recommend it and would love to be back again! "

"We had an amazing three day stay at Filoxenia last week! The service was second to none! Everyone from the front desk, maids, wait staff were exceptional. Big shout out to Service Manager Adonis and his dedicated staff! Superstars! Adonis made sure we had a gluten free breakfast package for our 6:00 am checkout as we had to catch an early flight! Really above and beyond! Highly recommend! We will definitely be back! Yasas!"

"This property is fantastic. I could imagine myself living in it and it felt perfectly at home. It is fully remodeled and updated, comfortable bedding and furniture, good water pressure, two bathrooms, and a convenient location. My only regret is that I would have liked staying in it longer! "Great location that is NOT directly in Kalamata. 5 minutes drive down the street to all the action. No problem parking (in May). Staff were all extremely helpful and professional. Pool is very nice and big on a raised deck overlooking the beach which is right across the street. You can also walk into the action at Kalamata. Probably a 20 minute walk. I drove into town and was able to park in the large lot. Will recommend and return to this hotel. Only issue was the entrance for th hotel is on the side street and Apple Maps sends you 3 blocks away (sad that Apple Maps still lacks)."
