"Although the outside of the hotel was very unappealing and quite difficult to find it did exactly what it said on the tin. It was a budget hotel just to put my head down without spending a fortune. The only problem was any time the neighbouring room flushed there loo it sounded like a bulldozer was coming through the wall which made it very difficult to sleep through. The room is small but basic and the bed was very comfortable. "

"Nice room, very funny operation on toilets, Sink was plugged and not draining, but I find this very common on mid range UK hotels. Why the maids can"t see this is not draining during room service? Unless they are not cleaning the sinks."

"Unfortunately our room wasn't available due to previous guests damaging the room. The staff at the Alexander Thomson were very helpful and booked us a room at a different hotel and took care of all the associated costs. I would have preferred to stay at the Alexander Thomson as it's very close to Central Station, shopping, and restaurants, but unforeseen circumstances caused us to stay elsewhere. "
