"Lovely site. Stayed with seven adults and two children end of September. Great facilities but would recommend a car as taxis are scarce. We still managed to get ferries etc mainly from Portese which is around 20 minutes walk, but a very steep hill coming back. Shop could have sold more provisions and without a car the Supermarket is a long walk. But saying that it is manageable. Saying all that we had a great time . Salo is also walkable even for my husband and I in our sixties "

"Having stayed in the area many times this is by far the best hotel we have found. The hotel is quiet but very accessible for Malcesine via either the tourist bus or public buses. Everything could be reached by walking and there were wonderful restaurants to eat. Directions from the Hotel were excellent and they were very quick in responding to any of your questions.
