"We stayed here for 2 nights as part of a bicycle trip in the peloponnese. The location in old town was perfect - a bit busy during the day, but wonderful after about 5:00 p.m. The accomodation was excellent, but be aware that if you are trying to self-cater and use the kitchen facilities, there is no real grocery store in the old town, so you have to walk/drive the 1.5 km back to the new town (which has great facilities). "If you are coming to Monemvasia you should really stay within the castle walls to get the full experience. The hotel is towards the east end of the castle but a very easy walk (5 mins) through the lower town. Like all hotels inside the castle, it is really a cluster of separate houses made into hotel rooms and the room was spacious, beds comfortable with great sea views and nice antique furniture. Most of all as it's at the end of town it's very quiet. I would definitely recommend it"
