Kind of a family run hotel, with the beach as its main asset. The beach is not the El Nido beach, but sort of the back side of El Nido. No complaints, because it's a remote location in the Philippines, but details of the hotel: Sinks have only cold water (standard for most of the Philippines), shower has an on-demand heater for warm water, clean bed, relatively clean room, no TV, no telephone, good view of the ocean. Cannot use toilet paper in the toilet! There's a hot/cold water bubbler in the lobby with instant coffee. Breakfast was from a limited menu; eggs/meat/toast/rice. No bars, restaurants, convenience stores in the hotel or in the immediate vicinity, but a few bars/restaurants were a stroll down the beach. Walking back to the main road, there was a restaurant about 100 meters or so toward El Nido (Sizzling) with reasonable Philippine food menu. Just beyond that is a store for non-food items, and small vendors on the side of the road with bottled water, soft drinks, snacks. Downtown El Nido and its beach are about a kilometer away, but the motor tricycles will take you for 50 pesos ($1US), so not a problem. The staff weren't the most pleasant. It always seemed that I was disturbing them if I needed something. Once I could find no one at the desk for assistance, despite yelling down the hall and looking outside. After 25 minutes I snagged a stranger walking by and he tracked someone down for me. Power outages were frequent throughout El Nido.
