    "The best shower in Polynesia!"
I was having a short break in Tonga (3 nights) and have stayed at the Seaview Lodge. My room, 302, was in the annex and was very well appointed, had a good selection of mini-bar items (although, this isn't something I use), an in-room safe, very comfortable bed, tasteful decor, wi-fi, and a TV with 20 channels (including two for sport). The shower room was clean and damp free, which is quite an achievement in the South Pacific, with fresh towels daily. The shower (whether you wanted hot, warm or cold), was very powerful and quite invigorating - again, somewhat of a rare find in these parts. Breakfast is served daily in the restaurant, which is also open every night, except Saturday and it serves the best food on the Island. My Hosts, Franz and Gudrun made me feel very welcome, as did the local staff servicing the rooms and waiting in the restaurant. Airport transfers are conveniently arranged and are charged to you bill, with no nasty surcharge. My three days at the Seaview were relaxing and it could be described as a home away from home. I look forward to going back again.

Enjoyable stay at this hotel. Rooms comfortable and clean and staff friendly. But the neighbouring roosters need to be reprogrammed to start their communications as a civilized hour ! ! !

We were unlucky in that the pump for the resortsl water blew up . We were in 501 and its the only one with air con . Great views of the ocean . It has no beach , but that's not really a problem . The ocean swimming pool is not the best as full of fish and crabs ? If you go there and do not except to much , you will be happy . As its a great place to chill out .

    "A Pacific Island Paradise"
I've always loved the idea of an island getaway, but didn't think the reality could possibly live up to the fantasy. Unless, of course, you find yourself basking in the glory that is Tonga's Fafa Island Resort. Having just returned from five magical nights with three of my best friends, we're already missing it and we all agree, it was AMAZING. There's no television and the only wifi available is in the library so we were pretty much disconnected from technology and the outside world for the majority of our stay; it was wonderful. Each night, a kerosene lantern would be left on our balcony, meaning we could continue playing cards on the deck well after the sun had gone down (the sunsets were some of the best I have ever seen). We spent our days reading, sunbathing, playing cards, swimming, getting massages, snorkeling, beach-combing the island circumference (which became our post-breakfast ritual), kayaking (navigating ourselves around the island at one point), walking the beach trail and indulging in some fantastic cocktails and their INCREDIBLE food. There were days we wouldn't see another soul until meal time and I think that privacy (almost exclusivity) was my favourite part. It's so common to see beautiful places like this overrun with people and tourists but, on Fafa Island, we could just enjoy the picturesque scenery and the soothing sounds of the ocean in peace. Absolutely loved our trip and haven't stopped raving about it!
