"Great hotel. The staff are so friendly! My partner loves it as she uses it as a base to go out for work. They don't really cater for those who work from the hotel. There's even a sign up saying "No laptops" in the restaurant area. So Working during the day means sitting in the cafe or room. Shame not to have some quiet areas to work from. "The hotel is currently going through refurbishment with freshly decorated rooms and a new fancy restaurant (MPW) being installed. Despite this my room was lovely, spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and in particular the young chap serving breakfast. Apparently the day I checked out was going to be closure for three weeks whilst works continue. "This was the 4th time staying at the George and for the last 2 times ive a room with a very small tv. So s.all on this stay that watching the football i had difficulty seeing who was who and were the ball was. Otherwise the staff are friendly the meal i had very good. Next time unless i have a room with the bigger tv screen i wont be able to book. Neil"

"The hotel location is fantastic, walking trail is on the door step, it’s so beautiful and peaceful with full of buttercups in the meadowlands. Wonderful National Trust Houses and Gardens like Melford Hall, Lavenham Guildhall and Ickworth all in 30 minutes driving. Besides the sound proof is weak, room #8 is good size for a single occupancy, although I paid for a double room. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. "

"This property has lovely surroundings, peaceful and calm. Hotel was lovely and clean overlooking the golf course. Staff were friendly & efficient, maybe could benefit from extra bar staff on a weekend from extra flow of traffic from people staying in hotel along with popular golfing groups. Only down side was the pool was broken so not able use which was very disappointing sadly the issue was not fixed from the Thursday -Sunday . Over all a great place to stay . We will definitely visit again ! Thank you to all the staff who looked after us xx "
