"Good value budget accommodation -3 km Apia town"
We wanted budget accommodation that was safe, clean and tidy. We stayed in both a room in the house and a garden fale. We loved the character of the house with its high ceilings and dark wood. The large reception room was lovely with its 2 rocking chairs, arm chairs and little library. The swimming pool got cleaned every morning and we had good swimming surrounded by the picturesque garden. The staff were lovely and helpful. There was 24 hour reception - one of the reasons we stayed as we arrived at 1.30 am. Breakfast was provided with lovely fresh seasonal fruit, good tea or coffee good bread for toasting and a hot item- e.g scrambled eggs. The taxi base was across the road. We liked being out of the town centre as it seemed cooler and we had a gentle breeze in our room. We did not come across any mosquitoes and did not use the nets. The garden was green and lush. This was a good introduction to Samoa. We stayed 2 nights, went to Savaii, came back for a further night. They rented out cars and we had a Nissan X-Trail for 2 days to get us around Upolu. We were happy to have shared bathroom etc. We met other guests that were friendly and would give you advice on where to go etc. and happy to share their experiences.

    "beautiful location"
We had the best holiday ever! Completely relaxing. The beach, the pool, the day spa, snorkelling at the reef, gentle work outs in the gym, cocktails aplenty. Good food. Exciting fia fia night.

    "Luxury combined with traditional architecture"
Accommodation: our beach Fale was lovely, a little rustic, but all the mod cons, rock waterfall shower was nice, and a lovely raised patio outside the room looking out to the reef. Overwater bungalows are really luxrious and more private. Food and drink: Mika's restaurant food is good, enough variety for a week, and there are two other resort restaurants within walking distance. Meal deal is worthwhile if you intend eating here every day, otherwise pas as you go. Also note I didn't rate the house wine very highly, and other wine not included in meal deal. They really tried to accommodate my wife's gluten/dairy free requirement, but that really limits what you can eat on the menu, and they didn't always get it right. Beer and wine free in mini-bar is a nice touch Location: Beautiful landscaped gardens, small but nice pool area was never crowded, two nice beaches either side of resort, access to lagoon via sandy slopes direct from resort area. You really need a car to explore further afield (or hire driver from resort by the hour/half day). South coast drive east is a good day trip with waterfalls, pretty coastline and beaches and don't miss To-Sua. We weren't that impressed with Apia (about 45 mins drive) or north coast (lots of rubbish). Staff: Genuinely friendly, and high standard or service, very eager to please. All from the local village. They put on a great cultural day including Umu, good Fia-fia night and pleasent music around bar and restaurant in evenings

    "Third time lucky..."
My husband and I have been to Samoa seven times; we always stay at two places each visit - somewhere we have already been and somewhere new. This is the third time we have stayed at SInalei, and we will keep going back. We love the no children policy and how consistent the facilities, staff and food are.
