"Beautiful scenery and town. Shopping and services are close, but in 5 or 10 minutes walking you can be in the mountains with natural hot spring streams or 15 minutes skiing. Bustling and quiet at the same time. "

"Great deal for the price! Walkable to other areas, easy parking, and the breakfast buffet (mostly Japanese) had a good selection. The hotel also has an onsen (one outdoor) within its grounds. The beds and pillows were too hard for me, but overall, great value for money!"

"We enjoyed our three night stay very much, and we're happy that we chose this hotel. The room was a good size and fit our needs. The only complaint was the terrible pillows and fairly hard beds. The restaurant proved to be decent. My Japanese wife loved the breakfast choices and I was happy with some western basics, like great scrambled eggs, reasonable sausages terrific coffee and granola. "The location was a little bit of a walk from the bus terminal and the main part of town but we loved staying in this place. There were indoor and outdoor public and private baths, and it was a great touch to have the ability to make the public baths private between 9 pm and 8 am at no additional cost. We did the half board option for food and it was really great to experience traditional japanese cuisine for breakfast and dinner."
