"Rarotongan Beach Resort is a fantastic place."
This resort was fantastic. Our room was fully cleaned everyday. The staff were all so friendly and very helpful. One side of teh resort is for adults only, and the other is for families with kids. And it is set up so well for kids. Awesome place to stay, and we will definitely be going back. I would rate the staff a 10 out of 10 on everything.

    "Total Relaxation"
From the moment you arrive at the airport, everything is taken care of. The meet and greet from the manager once you arrive at the resort sets the tone and from there on it is just pure relaxation. The rooms are great and the view out on to the lagoon is just stunning. 20 metres and you are snorkelling amongst the coral and the marine life. The beach is sheltered from the usual winds on the island. The staff are very friendly and nothing is ever a problem, even when I managed to lock the in room safe without setting the password correctly. Lunch by the pool, dinner in the restaurant, the food and service is great. Restaurant food is very good considering the location and that resources are limited with most food being shipped in from NZ and Rarotonga and prices are reasonable. This is a very easy place to relax and has all the creature comforts you could want. From snorkelling gear provided in yor room to the reef shoes, flippers and kayaks all at no cost. This is not a place where you keep getting hit up for the extras. Aitutaki is a wonderful place and the people are very friendly. I can not recommend the whole island enough and after looking around, the Pacific is the place to stay for the top end of the market. The staff enjoy sharing their stories with you and give you an insight into life on Aitutaki. As I sit in my office among the CBD, I wonder whether we have got it all wrong and whether they have got it all right on Aitutaki.

    "Best location on the island"
Location, location, location. The resort may not have the same upscale feel as Pacific Resort (which reflected in the price difference) and you won't see the sun going down to the ocean, but the location on the private island and with direct views of the famous lagoon is the best you can get on Aitutaki. We stayed in one of the new premium beachfront bungalows and enjoyed every moment of our stay. The only complain is that the bungalows don't have any canopy or roof or umbrella over the patio, so when it rains you cannot sit outside the bungalow. Unlike with many other lodges on the island you can swim in the lagoon anytime regardless of the tide. Complimentary kayaks and sup boards is another advantage. Unfortunately the only windsurfing they have was damaged and not available during our stay, but there was always enough kayaks and sup for everyone to use. There were almost no mosquitoes on the resort grounds and we were getting more ocean breeze than the west part of the island - another advantage of the location. The staff was friendly and helpful. The Internet access is expensive and apparently slow so we didn't try it. The airport transfer fee is high and mandatory; sort of 'resort fee'. You can't just show up at the hotel with your luggage. As I don't like mandatory service fees (now popular in some hotels) I'd rather prefer the transfer to be 'hidden' in the room rate. I also think that included breakfast could be improved by adding a few hot items like eggs etc.

    "Gina's Garden"
The venue is located in a garden setting in the middle of the island. The rooms have a reasonable standard of facilities but have seen better days. The swimming pool has been decommissioned. Take heavy duty mosquito repellent. Being inland we did not get sea breezes so it tended to be hot. We were further away from the beach and swimming/snorkelling facilities than we expected to be. Most of the tourism interest is on the north and north west coast of the island. You will need to hire a vehicle at most venues and definitely at this location. The rooms are cleaned daily with fresh towels every day. The staff are reliable and helpful.
