"A great location and fantastic staff. bedroom was comfortable but no frills and couldn't alter temperature so it was too hot. Shower was a wet room. "

"We have stayed here many times and always found it to be a great location with easy parking. The upgraded rooms are excellent - could do with more towels if 4 people in room though! This time the team situation seemed a little odd? Not as welcoming and experienced as previous visits, a bit disorganised. The bar experience could also be improved as the lights are always off in the seating area so you don't know whether it is ok to sit or not! We will re-visit based on previous stays and location...

"We have stayed in the Metropole many times on the last night of our holiday. New to the room was a kettle, tea & coffee. A good from us. We particularly like staying here, because there is a locked garage, so we feel safe leaving things in the car on our final night in France."

"Recurring stay at this no nonsense accommodation in central Calais. Quirky rooms, individual designs. Owner is converting it into apartments so sadly, only a few years left to stay here. Parking on the street is free and safe or you can park securely for a few euros. Wife and I love this place and have been visiting here 20 years regularly. "
