We purchased two nights for courtyard bacong on hotels.com. When we got there, one of the staff members told us that they are overbooked and cancelled our confirmed reservation. This ruined our plans to go to Siquijor and Apo island. Moreover, additional costs in hotel, transportation, etc. If this was known earlier than prior to arrival, issues could have be resolved. The owner would not refund our costs, but was kind enough to drop us off at the port.

Favorite hotel in Dumaguete
We stayed 3 nights in Dumaguete with 3 different hotels. But Courtyard is our favorite! The staffs are all nice and approchable, the rooms are big and comfy, kitchen utensils are complete and there's a billiards outside our unit that we used for free. Will definitely go back to The Courtyard when we visit Dunaguete again.

We loved this place! It's beautiful, clean, spacious, right on the beach the only minus is that there's no pool other than that it's perfect!

Great rooms, Clean!!
Upside: new, squeaky clean, huge rooms, friendly staff though they dont speak very good English. Downside: It is a bit far from restaurants and there is no food available onsite. Be prepared to hire a car/tricycle to go for food
