First and foremost, with Mitchell at the front desk as the first public facing impression of the facility, the Holiday Inn Austin Town Lake will ALWAYS be my first and only choice! He is so warm, kind, efficient and simply a wonderful human being who in turn makes this tourist feel like the most important client he has ever taken care of! Despite the age of the building, it is lovely! I had the good fortune of experiencing the charm of an older space and the absolute pleasure of a lake view room in the more recently developed space. I spent an entire week in Austin and felt very safe walking to and from the hotel around the lake, back and forth the the conference centre as well as taking advantage of the delicious mexican cuisine food truck parked next door. I can't wait to go back! :)
