Once in a lifetime experience.

"Ramon's homestay is a great place to stay in Batad. The rooms are rustic with that provides basic needs for a homestay. You're provided with million dollar views and if you get to meet Mang Ramon, you are in for a treat as his hospitality is that "home" feel that you are looking for."

"Batad Rice Terraces is a must see, but have to be physically fit for it is very steep, high, narrow and very very long walk. But once you overcome the almost 1 hour walk with rest, it is worth to see the place. Definitely, get a guide and a stick to go with you. The owner of the place gave an excellent service."

"The setting of Batad Pension is unbelievably beautiful. It’s worth the trek in to spend the night there and really enjoy Batad. In addition, the owner is lovely and warm, cooks lovely food, and goes out of her way to be helpful to her visitors. I highly recommend Batad Pension and Restaurant"

Of course this is a province which if you travel the islands is certainly less bound by rules that often are more restrictive than Americans are appreciative of. Whatever your purpose, this little gem was much appreciated by this traveler. The staff and the value were refreshing. I felt the area prices were rather on the pricy side but not here. But again the staff was pretty incredible. They even provided us with a rather nice parting gift (each) I won’t divulge the gift but I was thankful. We will certainly return when my annual visit occurs next year! Thank you ladies for a wonderful experience. We couldn’t possibly have felt more welcomed."

"For the price paid, it was THE BEST hotel I have stayed at in the Philippines. Real American comfortable mattress! Real American feel pillows. Heavy thick comfortable comforter and blanket. Freezing cold air conditioner. Water so hot you can’t fully open. Useable excellent cable tv, with English option. HBO! Kettle. 2 glasses, coffee cups. Complimentary tooth paste and brushes/nice smelling soap. Large towels. Excellent shower space. Great for disabled or handicapped individuals (bench) large shower head and also wand. Bidet Shopping/grocery (save more) in the same building. Palawan money changer downstairs. (Although valrica gives better exchange rates) Near Florida bus terminal. 50 yard walk. McDonald’s and kfc within stone throw. 7/11 beside Florida liner. (Super convenient location) tricycle or taxi on site. Refrigerator and freezer available for use but not in room. The negatives, it was little flying bug season… non biting though. Internet wasn’t working for our stay but it was due to an auto accident (uncontrollable) finally 500 push key deposit.!!! Absolutely, worth expedias price, or even walk in price for that matter! Loved my stay!"
