I had never travel to the Philippines before and only stayed a few place in my travel while on this trip. I found the place to be over very pleasing and clean. It’s located on top of the hill away from all of the noise of the town area but only a 5-10 min walk. The view is awesome since it overlooks the island just this is worth any price. The Staff is awesome and the owner makes you feel like a family member. I would recommend this place to and only traveling or staying in Puerto Galera is a hidden treasure.
I loved my stay here. The staff were amazing and ready to answer any questions, the ruin was clean and comfortable, the good was great, and there were plenty of cozy lounge areas. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
To clarify: we stayed at Badladz Beach Resort, not the Adventure. Same owner, but we made a mistake when booking and they were gracious in making the change.
Really this hotel rates a 4.5 because there were so many lovely things about it and only a few things that would have changed it to a 5 star super experience. I state this only because the rooms are clean, but basic, so if someone is looking for a 5 star hotel this would not meet you need. It was a clean room, with very friendly customer service, great Mexican food, as well as other good food, clean pool and beautiful ocean. It was wonderful!
We stayed at the beach resort, located on the beach, and it was a little bit of heaven. We wanted quiet and comfortable, with beach access, and that is what we received. For those who prefer more activity there is transportation to get to a more touristy area. We did go to eat and did some shopping in that area, but we got what we wanted; a quiet, relaxed, enjoyable vacation away from crowds. We swam in the ocean, as well as their clean beautiful pool. Best part was relaxing, looking out at the ocean, while the palm tress waved softly in the breeze, and sipping on a cool drink. The sunrise was also incredible.
We do need to state we came at the end of the tourist season and so that may have contributed to the hotel being less active. However, I think even in the busy season it would be an enjoyable experience.
The hotel is right on the water but it is not the kind of beach for swimming. However they had a white beach shuttle so we could go there for the day or watch the fire dancing. Or we could simply relax by the pool which made it a refuge from all the hawkers on white beach. Staff was helpful, especially April and Jinkie.
