The property and room were great! Self parking was a bit of an adventure. Based on previous reviews we expected it to be less than clear, however once you do your homework on the website, you go to the crown plaza and self park. There were signs designating the parking at the crowne plaza as also applying to the Sheraton so we were fairly confident we dod it right. Also learned from the previous review we read, bring your parking ticket to the check in desk and have your license plate number at the ready. Suprisingly the parking ticket DOES list your license plate and uses that electronically to verify every time you go in and out. That was great! You didnt need to input your ticket every time you left or returned! It read your plate and the gate would automatically open when you left or arrived! Great improvement! Also, go to the UL level on the elevator once parked and you can walk from the crowne plaza, thru to the niagra casino lobby past the subway sandwhich joint and hard rock cafe into the sheraton. Go past the mini golf and the elevator entrance is on the left! We used this path everyday to get to the car, the casino and the game room! I didnt notice any area that was uncomfortable temp wise, and if you have rolling luggage there was always a way to roll it the entire way. Also would be great for somone in a wheel chair! Follow what i said and you will be fine! If you also bring the kitchen sink, maybe valet parking is more your speed!

I paid more to my reservation to have a falls view, not the city view. I reserved one type of room, and got a wrong room for a very higher price; this it was very wrong. I also paid a lot money to have fireworks view the weather was very good, and we end up not having, because was canceled without explanation. I felt that I was a burglary.

I had a not-so-pleasant experience. I booked a Fallsview room for one night. Upon check-in, I called the front desk from my room and asked if I could upgrade to a higher floor since the view of the falls was blocked by trees from my room. I was told by customer service (6666 number) that there was availability to upgrade to a higher floor Fallsview room for an additional $110 per night, and I had to stop by the front desk for the upgrade. I went down to the front desk, waited in a long line to speak to someone, only to be told that there were no available Fallsview rooms to upgrade to. All that hassle for nothing. Around 4 PM, the alarm in the room started making hushing sounds, and then I realized the alarm in the entire building was on. The elevator was not functioning while the alarm was on, so we waited in our room for 20 minutes. When the alarm was still on, we had to walk down the stairs to the lobby. That was when I realized the alarm was on throughout the entire building, as everyone was using the stairs. After returning to the room at night, there was no explanation given. Until now, I still do not know what triggered the alarm. Other than the bad experience, the stay was just OK. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience, and I would never stay at this hotel again.
