Stops on the “Zaragoza with Flavor” Tour:
Plaza San Felipe / Montal Restaurant: We'll start in the historic Plaza San Felipe, surrounded by Renaissance palaces and the site of the now-vanished Torre Nueva, a symbol of Zaragoza. At Montal, a building steeped in history, we will enjoy a tapa of breaded artichoke in its cellars, making a connection with the Ebro Valley and the wines of Aragon.
El Tubo / El Corral de la Delfina: We will explore El Tubo, a labyrinth of narrow streets and the heart of traditional tapas culture, famous for its atmosphere and its history. At El Corral de la Delfina, an iconic bar, we will savor the renowned tapa known as “Guardia Civil,” or carrillera (pork cheek), a local tapas classic.
Puerta Cinegia Food Market: We will end our tour at this modern food market, located above the city's ancient Roman entrance and near Calle 4 de Agosto, a key site of the Peninsular War. Here, we will enjoy an exclusive rice casserole with suckling lamb, saying goodbye with views of the Augustus of Prima Porta.
