What you can expect

The first stop on the itinerary is the Arch of Charents - monument-viewpoint of the Biblical Mt.Ararat.
Next, the Pagan Temple of Garni - only standing Hellenistic pagan temple in the Caucasus Region, dating back to the first century AD - built as a temple to the sun god Mihr (Mithra). There is a well-preserved Roman bathhouse in the territory as well.
The Symphony of Stones is a stunning natural wonder, on of the most unique natural phenomenon in the world - created over millennia by volcanic activity and erosion. Geghard Monastery or Ayrivank is an important architectural, historical and religious sight in Armenia. Most of the monastery is carved inside a rock combined with architecture of 4th to 10th centuries of Armenian Renaissance. Geghard Monastery is part of the UNESCO world Heritage sights together with the Upper Azat Valley. Lake Sevan, second largest high-altitude fresh water lake in the world. Its sole major island (now a peninsula) is home to a medieval monastery providing panoramic views of the whole lake and surrounding mountains. Sevanavank Monastery was built in 9th century and houses one of the 4 remaining Amenaprkich Khachkars. The Monastery is woven into many important historic events and important battles. Dilijan also known as little Switzerland is a small town in the north surrounded by forests and mountains. Here you will stroll along its oldest street, lined with charming traditional Armenian houses and artisan workshops, where you’ll get a taste of the town’s unique character and artistic flair. Haghartsin Monastery is a magnificent architectural gem nestled in a serene, natural setting of a lush hillside forest. This complex stands out with its architecture and color and recently was incorporated into the Transcaucasian Trail (long-distance hiking route). Goshavank Monastery: Goshavank is a medieval monastery complex which has been preserved relatively well through time and is known for its school and scholars such as Mkhitar Gosh and Kirakos Gandzaketsi with their important cultural and historical investments.
