I arrive at Lamezia Terme airport. Transfer (NI) to hotel. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 2: TROPEA/PIZZO/TROPEA

Pizzo

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Pizzo. Guided tour of the Castle where he was killed Joaquim Murat. Also visit the Church of Piedigrotta located by the sea and built in tufo. Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Scilla: visit to Chianalea, an ancient village of fishermen Visit to the Castle of Ruffo and the Church of San Rocco. Continue to Reggio Calabria. Free time for lunch (not included). In the afternoon you will visit the city, ancient capital of the region, along with the National Museum of Magna Graecia, where you will admire the famous "Bronzi di Riace." After admiring the imposing panorama described by Gabriele D'Annunzio as "the most beautiful kilometer of Italy", visit the Baths Roman, the Greek Fortifications and the Cathedral. Return to hotel. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 4: REGGIO CALABRIA/GERACE/STILO/CATANZARO LIDO

Gerace

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Gerace: visit to the city of the "Hundred Churches". The The visit of the medieval village will allow us to admire some of the most ancient, like the famous Romanesque cathedral, the largest in southern Italy. Free lunch. Continue to Stilo, the birthplace of the famous philosopher Thomas Bell ringing. We will visit the famous "Cattolica" monument of late Byzantine art, unique in all of Western Europe. We will continue towards the Catanzaro area. Dinner and hotel stay

Day 5: CATANZARO LIDO/ NAIZONALE DELLA SILA/COSENZA

Sila National Park

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for the Sila mountains, which represent the green heart of Calabria and southern Italy. Wonderful and unexpected mountain landscapes they wait with an unspoiled nature. Make a stop in the small town of Camigliatello Silano for a walk along the main road or for buy typical products from the area. I arrive in Cosenza. Lunch at an agriturismo where you can taste typical Calabrian cuisine. Back to the hotel. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 6: COSENZA/PAOLA/COSENZA

Paola

After breakfast at the hotel, we will visit the historic center of Cosenza. We will admire Piazza Prefettura, the Rendano Theater and the Svevo Castle, then walk along Corso Telesio to the Cathedral. We will cross the Calatrava Bridge and reach Corso Mazzini, where the MAB, an open-air museum with works by important contemporary artists, is located. We will then have free time for Shopping, lunch or an ice cream. In the afternoon we will leave for Paola, where we will visit the Sanctuary of Saint Francis of Paola, an important pilgrimage site and linked to the figure of the patron saint of Calabria. Finally, dinner and overnight stay in a hotel.

Day 7: COSENZA/SIBARI/ROSSANO/ALTOMONTE

Rossano

Writing After breakfast, departure to the Sibari Archaeological Park for a guided tour to see its ancient streets and the Sibaritide Museum. Then, I travel to Rossano Scalo to visit the Amarelli Licorice Museum and taste their traditional products, followed by free time for lunch. In the afternoon, visit Rossano Calabro, especially the Cathedral of Maria Santissima Achiropita and the diocesan museum, where the famous Codex Purpureus Rossanensis, a 6th-century Christian manuscript and UNESCO heritage, is kept. Finally, stopped in Altomonte, considered one of the most beautiful towns in Italy, before continuing to Cosenza for dinner and to spend the night at the hotel.
