What you can expect

Day 1: Lombok to Sumbawa

Begin your adventure with a pickup from your accommodation in Lombok. Travel to Kayangan Harbor in East Lombok, a journey of around 1.5 to 2 hours. Board a public ferry to cross from Kayangan Harbor to Poto Tano Harbor in West Sumbawa, a crossing that takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Enjoy lunch on the ferry or upon arrival in Sumbawa.

Upon arrival in Poto Tano, continue your journey overland along the northern coast of Sumbawa Island to Labuan Jambu Village in Tarano District, Sumbawa Regency. This overland journey takes about 5 to 6 hours. Check in at a local homestay or accommodation near the beach, have dinner, and rest for the night.

Day 2: Snorkeling with Whale Sharks

Wake up early and get ready for the main event. Head to the Labuan Jambu Village pier and board a traditional motorboat (Begoq/local boat) to the Bagan Nelayan point in the waters of Saleh Bay. This sea journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, allowing you to enjoy the sunrise in the middle of the sea.

Arrive at the Bagan area. Once the position of the whale sharks is confirmed by the fishermen, begin snorkeling and swimming with the whale sharks. Enjoy a light breakfast and hot coffee/tea served on the boat or Bagan.
