After meeting in the central Plaza del Castillo, we'll give you a historical introduction to the city of Pamplona; from the Basque settlement of Iruña, through the Romans and Pompaelo, the origins of the Kingdom of Navarre… and up to the present day.

On a walking route, we'll visit the famous Pamplona City Hall, where every July 6 the “Txupinazo” is fired; a rocket that symbolizes the beginning of the San Fermín festivities.

We'll continue along the Cuesta de Santo Domingo, where we'll take the opportunity to talk about local and regional saints, before reaching the walls of Pamplona.

While we walk along the walls and enjoy the views, we'll stop at the Old Palace of the Kings of Navarre, which is now the Archive of Navarre. Later, we'll see the Portal de Francia, through which pilgrims arrive each day on their way to Santiago de Compostela.

We'll enjoy the Rincón del Caballo Blanco and the Plazuela de San José before stopping in front of the Cathedral of Pamplona, which leaves no one indifferent (we recommend visiting the interior on another of our tours).

From the cathedral, we'll head to a place near Plaza del Castillo where we'll meet a wine expert who will offer us a tasting of 4 Navarrese wines: a white, a rosé, and two reds.
