On this approximately 90-minute walking tour of the Petersberg, you will not only have the opportunity to virtually immerse yourself in history and experience the atmosphere of the Middle Ages up close – you will become a part of it!

Our guides will first take you to the medieval scriptorium in the Defensionskaserne and familiarize you with the 360° time travel glasses. You will then meet our virtual monastery brother Kuno, who will also accompany you on the fascinating journey back to the year 1181 and provide exciting insights into everyday monastic life at nine more stops in original historical locations. Walk along medieval paths and experience the monastery church of St. Peter and Paul in all its glory.

The highlight of the tour: Experience first-hand the dramatic kneeling of Henry the Lion before Emperor Barbarossa – a key moment in history – which comes to life in our VR tour.
