(Pick up time: 02:00 pm – 2:50 pm). Our driver and guide will pick you up from your hotel in Siem Reap. Drive to a remote village (approx. 8km). There soak in the scenery of the countryside, local farms, rice paddies, and stilted traditional Khmer houses, pass gentle cows & and buffalos on the way. Enjoy the gentle walking through the village, in the village you will see the villagers make a living by weaving cane baskets, which earn $2-$3 per basket on top of their farming work. Make a few stops on the way for drinks, and fresh coconut juice. Then enjoy an Ox-Cart ride (cart that bulls by ox or buffalos) Cambodia’s traditional transportation, with the influx of tractors – it’s getting rare to see operating ox-carts. Reaching Mr. Ron’s House, we will be welcomed by his family and our guide will tell the story of the family also visit the vegetable garden before you enjoy the cooking class led by Mr. Ron’s wife (Mrs. Sina), then get to a good spot to view the sunset (either a Khmer cottage or a lovely setting overlooking a rice paddy) that is accompanied by dinner and drinks (water, cold beer or soft drinks). After sunset, the driver will drive you back to the town, arriving at your hotel in Siem Reap around 7:00 pm.
