Experience the thrill of white water rafting on the Zambezi River. Take on the rapids of the river, which are officially defined as “Grade 5” by the British Canoe Union. Enjoy a delicious lunch at the top of the gorge.
Start your day with a transfer from Victoria Falls Town to the river. Upon arrival, get kitted out with all the necessary gear, including a wet suit if needed. Then, take a steep walk into the Batoka Gorge to reach the river.
As you make your way down the river, take in the stunning scenery of the gorge, which is over 100 meters deep at the Falls and increases to over 200 meters by the end of a full day raft trip. Despite this rugged terrain, the gorges below the Falls are thick with vegetation and incredibly spectacular.
Depending on the time of year, take on different rapids. In the low water season, raft through rapids #1 to #19 and enjoy a delicious lunch at the top of the gorge at Rapid #19. In the high water season, raft through rapids #11 to #23 and enjoy a delicious lunch at the top of the gorge at Rapid #23.
