What you can expect

We'll meet at my house, in my kitchen, and after getting to know each other a little, we'll put on our aprons and start kneading the buckwheat tagliatelle. Amid laughter and stories, moments of sharing and pure emotion, you will make a perfect steaming plate of pizzoccheri that you will enjoy along with some excellent local red wine. You will also enjoy another highlight of Valtellina cuisine: bresaola. We will continue to cook chiscioi, which are buckwheat pancakes typical of the town of Tirano where I live. Finally, you will enjoy the quintessential dessert: apple pancakes, followed by “caffè del pignatin,” which is the traditional coffee made by grandparents with chicory. I will tell you its history, the history of the smugglers, of buckwheat, of Valtellina and its rulers, to make this experience together unique and fascinating. Our bitters are also unique, made with herbs from our mountains: Braulio and Taniva. It will be a 360-degree experience that will involve all your senses, leaving you with the feeling of having experienced life in Valtellina in days gone by for a few hours.
