What you can expect

We'll meet at my place, in my kitchen, and after getting to know each other a bit, we'll put on our aprons and start kneading the buckwheat tagliatelle. Amidst laughter and stories, moments of sharing and pure emotion, you'll create a perfect steaming plate of pizzoccheri that you'll enjoy together with excellent local red wine. You'll also get to taste another mainstay of Valtellina cuisine: bresaola. We'll continue cooking chiscioi, which are buckwheat pancakes typical of Tirano, where I live. Finally, you'll enjoy the dessert par excellence: apple fritters, followed by “caffè del pignatin,” which is the typical coffee made by grandparents with chicory. I'll tell you its story, the story of the smugglers, buckwheat, Valtellina, and its dominations to make this experience together unique and fascinating. Our bitters are also unique, made with herbs from our mountains: Braulio and Taniva. It will be a 360-degree experience that will involve all your senses, leaving you with the feeling of having lived the Valtellina life of yesteryear for a few hours.
