The agricultural tour consists of a visit to two families in the Palmar community, who will share their production and cultivation of the crops that sustain their families. It's a family-run ecotourism project where you can participate in various activities, such as cutting sugarcane, learning about seasonal fruits, birdwatching, observing agricultural activities like banana and ornamental plant production, and enjoying a walk through the area. The goal is to provide you with knowledge about different types of fruit trees and other farming methods, offering an opportunity to learn about our community and experience its culture. You'll have fun and, above all, learn with us.
This tour takes place at Finca La Muñequita Lodge, located in Palmar Sur, Osa canton, just 20 minutes from Palmar Norte. It's a peaceful place committed to environmental conservation and preserving traditional agricultural practices.
We will visit the Azofeifa-Godínez family to learn about the local culture and how they use waste to minimize pollution and improve the quality of life for families in the surrounding area. Then we will return to Palmar Norte, where we will meet with Doña Felicia, who will give us a brief introduction to traditional cuisine, including a small class of traditional Costa Rican cooking.
Finally, you will enjoy a seasonal fruit juice (depending on the time of year), a delicious lunch, or a typical Costa Rican dish, depending on the time of the tour.
