Join the most comprehensive RIB safari from Ulvik on an extended journey into the Hardangerfjord and its remote fjord branches.
The tour starts in Ulvik and heads across the main fjord toward the Hardanger Bridge, Norway’s longest suspension bridge. From there, the route continues into the Simadalsfjord near Eidfjord, surrounded by steep mountains, waterfalls, and powerful natural scenery shaped by both nature and hydropower development.
The safari continues into the Osafjord, a narrow 13 km long fjord branch where the road ends and the fjord was once the only transport route. Along the shoreline, you will pass abandoned farms and roadless fjord settlements that reflect traditional fjord life.
Several scenic stops are made along the way for photos and observation. The local captain provides commentary on nature, history, and life along the fjord. Wildlife sightings may include seals, porpoises, or sea eagles.
This RIB safari combines high-speed cruising on open fjord sections with slower, calm exploration inside the fjord arms.
