What you can expect
Day 1: Cultural and Culinary Exploration
Begin with a fascinating bike tour of Carthage, exploring ancient Roman ruins. Then visit the charming village of Sidi Bou Said, famous for its blue and white architecture. After lunch, explore the UNESCO-listed Medina of Tunis, a maze of narrow alleys and rich history. Enjoy dinner and overnight at a 4-star hotel in Tunis.
Day 2: Sousse’s Old Medina and El Jem Amphitheater
Start the day discovering the historic Old Medina of Sousse and the scenic Port El Kantaoui. After lunch, travel to the impressive El Jem Amphitheater, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Continue to Mahdia for dinner and overnight at a 4-star hotel.
Day 3: Timeless Beauty and Star Wars Secrets
After breakfast, explore Matmata’s fascinating troglodyte houses and the Tamozrate Museum. Lunch is followed by a visit to the iconic Star Wars site at Sidi Driss. Then discover the village of Toujane before reaching Ksar Hadada, another famous Star Wars filming location. Dinner and overnight at the authentic Ksar Hadada Hotel.
Day 4: Desert Oasis and Tranquility
Travel to Ksar Ghilane oasis, where you can swim in warm desert springs surrounded by palms. After lunch in Douz, known as the “Gateway to the Sahara,” continue off-road across dunes to Tembaine. Arrive at Abdelmoula Camp for dinner and a night in luxury tents with private facilities.
Day 5: Sahara Desert Adventure
Enjoy breakfast at camp, then return to Douz for an optional camel or quad ride. Explore the lively souk before lunch. Cross the vast salt flats of Chott Jerid, then reach Tozeur for dinner and overnight at a 4-star hotel.
Day 6: Mountain Oases and Star Wars Sets
Visit the stunning oases of Chebika and the dramatic Mides Canyon. After lunch, explore the Star Wars sets of Ong Jemal and the Lars Homestead, ending the day with a desert sunset. Return to Tozeur for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Cultural Treasures of Kairouan
Travel to Kairouan to explore its UNESCO-listed Medina and the Great Mosque of Okba. After lunch, visit a traditional carpet-weaving workshop and a Makroudh pastry workshop to experience local craftsmanship. Enjoy dinner and overnight at Dar Dhiafa guesthouse.
Day 8: Culinary Delights and Farewell
Join a hands-on harissa workshop in Nabeul, learning to make this spicy Tunisian chili paste recognized by UNESCO. After lunch, relax with coffee in Hammamet. Finally, transfer to Tunis Carthage Airport, taking with you unforgettable memories of Tunisia.
