Let's begin your tour at the market square, the heart of the city (the meeting point is in front of Hevd Bakeri & Pizzeria Torget). There, you will see the statue of Olav Tryggvason who founded the city during the Viking era.
A little stroll through the main avenue of Trondheim will get you to the northernmost gothic cathedral of the world : Nidarosdomen. Outside visit only. The entrance fee for the inside cathedral is not included with this tour.

Then follow your guide into a time travel and go back to the 17th century ! Cross the famous Old Town Bridge, also known as the “portal of happiness' ' and explore Bakklandet, the old town of Trondheim. In this colorful neighborhood let your guide shows you an inventive curiosity of Norway : the only bicycle lift of the world !
On your way back to the city center, learn more about the royal family and its summer residence in front of Stifstgården.

This visit is an OUTSIDE WALKING TOUR (only) and DOES NOT include any entrances. Trondheim’s city center is mostly flat. However, the old neighborhood is made of cobblestones. Hardly accessible to wheelchair/stroller.
