Experience one of Ushuaia’s most rewarding mountain adventures on a challenging trek to Vinciguerra Glacier and Tempanos Lagoon.
Leave the city behind and enter the wild landscapes of Tierra del Fuego. The trail leads through native Fuegian forests, peat bogs, valleys and rugged mountain terrain, offering constantly changing scenery as you make your way toward the glacier.
The adventure culminates at Tempanos Lagoon, a spectacular mountain lagoon surrounded by peaks and the impressive Vinciguerra Glacier. Take time to enjoy the scenery, capture photos and experience the remote beauty of one of Ushuaia’s most remarkable trekking areas.
With approximately 14 km of hiking and around 600 meters of elevation gain, this is a genuinely challenging mountain trek. The trail includes uneven terrain, muddy and wet sections, peat bogs, steep slopes and changing conditions depending on the weather and season.
This experience is best suited to travelers who regularly hike or trek and have a good level of physical fitness. Previous trekking experience is strongly recommended.
Throughout the adventure, you will be accompanied by a professional local guide who will lead the group, provide assistance along the trail and make decisions according to weather, trail conditions and the group's pace.
Travel in a small group and discover a wilder side of Ushuaia, far beyond the city's traditional sightseeing routes.
If you are looking for a real Patagonian trekking experience, spectacular mountain scenery and the chance to reach a glacier on foot, Vinciguerra Glacier and Tempanos Lagoon are an unforgettable adventure.
