Discover one of the most breathtaking natural vantage points in Potrerillos on this guided hike to Cerro Áspero, a peak that rises to almost 3,000 meters above sea level.
This adventure is designed for those who want to enjoy an authentic mountain experience in the Andes of Mendoza, combining physical activity, nature, spectacular scenery, and local cuisine.
The hike starts in the Valle del Sol area, following trails that gradually ascend to the summit. During the hike, the guide will share information about the geography of the region, the history of Potrerillos, the flora and fauna of the mountains, and the importance of the Andes Range in local life.
As we gain altitude, the views become increasingly expansive, allowing us to admire the Potrerillos Dam, Cordón del Plata, and the surrounding valleys. The route is of moderate difficulty and is designed for people with a basic level of fitness who enjoy outdoor activities.
At the summit, we'll have time to rest, take photos, and enjoy a trail snack while admiring one of the best views in the area.
We'll then begin the descent to the starting point, where the experience ends with a food tasting of traditional empanadas at the renowned Restaurante Áspero, an iconic spot in Potrerillos that preserves the region's mountain spirit.
