This new tour in summer 2024 is intended for travelers from Oslo to Bergen. We would like to show you the most exciting part of this route. Embark on a magical journey from Oslo to Geilo, a scenic train ride that takes you through some of Norway's most breathtaking landscapes. The 156 km route offers breathtaking views of the landscape, from rolling hills and green valleys to snow-capped mountain peaks. Operated by the Norwegian Railways (VY), the train is a comfortable and convenient way to travel, allowing you to sit back and relax while enjoying the beautiful scenery. THE BUS DEPARTS AT 12.30 DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE TRAIN STATION IN GEILO AND HAS A SIGN IN THE WINDSHIELD SAYING JAUNT NORWAY. THE DRIVER WILL TRY TO PARK DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE STATION, IF THIS BUS STOP IS TAKEN BY OTHER BUSES, YOU WILL FIND IT A FEW METERS FURTHER DOWN IN THE VILLAGE. THERE IS ALSO A PUBLIC TOILET, SHOPS AND RESTAURANTS. THE FIRST TOILET STOP AFTER THE DEPARTURE IN GEILO IS IN ABOUT ONE AND A HALF HOURS. You have about half an hour in Geilo before the bus leaves, time for a coffee or a small snack.
Hardangervidda National Park

Travel with us in comfort on the Hardangevidda mountain plateau. Marvel at this extraordinary and breathtaking landscape, see rugged mountains, the deep valleys, or the unique flora and fauna. You are at the home to the largest reindeer population in Europe. Some of the last snow doesn't thaw here until August. After just a few minutes' drive, the landscape will change dramatically. The tree line up here in the north is only around 900 meters. The Hardangevidda is at its highest point about 1500 meters above sea level. TIME AND WEATHER PERMITTING, WE WILL MAKE ONE OR TWO PHOTO STOPS ALONG THE WAY.
Voringfossen

The Vøringfossen waterfall is a breathtaking natural wonder that should be on everyone's bucket list when traveling between Oslo and Bergen. With a total drop of 182 meters and a major drop of 163 meters, it's one of Norway's most impressive waterfalls and a major tourist attraction. As you approach the falls, you'll be greeted by the thunderous sound of rushing water and the mist that rises from the base of the falls. We'll stop at the parking lot, just a short walk away from the viewing platform. There are also public toilets available. The Fossli Hotel, located nearby, has a cozy cafe that's worth a visit. Outside of the summer months, you can enjoy a cup of coffee by the crackling fireplace. We'll spend about half an hour here, admiring the beauty of the waterfall and the surrounding landscape. WE STAY HERE FOR 30 MINUTES, TRAVEL TIME TO THE NEXT STOP IS ABOUT ONE AND A HALF HOURS
Eidfjord Municipality (Pass by)
Continuing our drive into the valley, we reach the charming village of Eidfjord after about 20 minutes. Nestled on the banks of the Eidfjord, this small village offers breathtaking views of the fjord and its surrounding mountains.
Hardanger Bridge (Pass by)
After driving along the fjord for another 20 minutes, we enter a tunnel and emerge at a traffic circle inside the tunnel where we turn left. A minute later, we find ourselves on the Hardanger Bridge, a 1,380 meter long engineering feat that stands 55 meters tall and was the longest bridge in Norway and the 10th longest in the world when it was dopend. Crossing the Hardanger Bridge, we enter a tunnel that leads us deep into the rock. After about 500 meters, we arrive at a roundabout that was ingeniously constructed within the rock. From there, we enter the 7 km long Vallaviktunnel, which takes us back to the other side of the Hardangerfjord. As we continue our drive along the scenic fjord, we're treated to more awe-inspiring views of the surrounding landscape. Towering cliffs and shimmering waters flank the road, providing a stunning backdrop to our journey.
Oystese (Pass by)
Øystese is a small and beautiful village located in the municipality of Kvam in Vestland county, Norway. It's situated along the Hardangerfjord and is known for its stunning natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere. There's a shopping area, a sandy beach, a marina, and plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy in the area. Unfortunately, we don't have time for a stop on this tour and will therefore only drive through this lovely place. Steinsdalsfossen Waterfall

As we approach the Steinsdalsfossen waterfall near Norheimsund, the sound of rushing water fills your ears. The towering falls were formed centuries ago when the river changed course, and its majestic 50 meter height makes it one of the most impressive waterfalls in Norway. A winding path leads you behind the waterfall, where you can marvel at the cascading water from the safety of the rock face. This unique and picturesque spot is a must-see for any traveler, and you'll have good time to explore its wonders. For added convenience, there are public toilets and a tourist information center on-site. And when you need a break, the cozy cafe offers a warm cup of coffee and a selection of souvenirs. But it's not just the waterfall that's worth exploring. The old stone arch bridge is a delightful sight that adds to the character of the area. WE STAY HERE FOR 25 MIN, TRAVEL TIME TO BERGEN IS ABOUT ONE AND A HALF HOUR
Bergen (Pass by)
After spending some time exploring the waterfall, it's time to continue our journey to Bergen. The remaining 1.5 hours of our trip will take us through even a very nice scenery as well, and we'll arrive in the heart of the city in no time. If you're staying at a hotel in the city center, our bus will drop you off right at the door, making for a seamless and convenient arrival. If not, we'll get you as close as possible to your final destination
