This tour is designed to help you feel less like a tourist when visiting the island. We begin the tour by visiting the ancient Goa Gajah Temple. This temple was built in the 11th century. We then continue on to Tibumana Waterfall. This magnificent waterfall is nestled in the lush rainforest. There are very few tourists at this site. If you want to take a dip, bring a towel and your swimsuit.
We will then travel along less busy roads until we reach the Kehen Temple, with its gigantic ficus tree inside. This majestic temple exemplifies ancient 12th-century Balinese architecture. You can feel an incredible sense of peace in this temple. Therefore, it is an idyllic place for meditation.
On the final leg of the tour, we will visit the magnificent Besakih Temple, located over 3,280 feet (1,000 meters) above sea level on the slopes of Mount Agung (10,308 feet/3,142 meters), the highest peak on the island, and considered the most important and sacred site in Bali. The Balinese call it “The Mother Temple.”
