Know before you book

  • You must bring a child safety seat for children under 8 years of age or 4 foot 9 inches (144 cm) tall.
  • This tour operates rain or shine. Access to the giant sequoias trail depends on snow and trail conditions, and may be closed from November to April.
  • Between November and March, when the trail is not safe due to snow and ice accumulation, we substitute the hike with additional time in Yosemite Valley.
  • Your pickup time will be between 5:20 and 6:00 AM, based on your San Francisco hotel's location. After booking, we'll confirm your exact pickup time by email.

What you can expect

Join us on this breathtaking tour of Yosemite National Park, whose towering granite peaks, cascading waterfalls and nature trails are perhaps the most stunning in the world.

Your tour starts with a convenient hotel pickup in San Francisco. Sit back and enjoy the scenic drive as we share stories about how gold in the American River ignited the California Gold Rush, the geological forces that shaped Yosemite’s breathtaking landscapes, and John Muir’s pivotal role in establishing America’s first protected wilderness.

Once inside Yosemite National Park, we’ll head to the iconic Tunnel View, a scene made famous by photographer Ansel Adams. Pause here to capture unforgettable photos with landmarks like El Capitan, Half Dome, Sentinel Dome, and Cathedral Peak as your backdrop. After taking unforgettable photos, we’ll stop to bring you up close to the misty Bridalveil Fall.

Upon arrival at our designated stop in Yosemite Valley, enjoy free time to have lunch and explore at your own pace. Set out on a scenic hike to Yosemite Falls, wander through Cook’s Meadow, or relax by the peaceful Merced River.

After rejoining the group, your Yosemite experience continues with a stop at El Capitan Meadow, where you’ll have time for photos and to learn about the world’s largest granite monolith and its famous climbing culture. Next, we’ll stop at the Valley View vista point, overlooking the Merced River, El Capitan, and the towering spires of Cathedral Rocks.

Our last stop in the park is the breathtaking Tuolumne Grove of Giant Sequoias, where you’ll have the unique chance to hike among some of the oldest and largest trees on Earth. Walking among them is like stepping into another time, where you can fully appreciate the beauty and resilience of these remarkable trees.

Important: Between November and March, when the trail is not safe due to snow and ice accumulation, we substitute the hike with additional time in Yosemite Valley.

Nonresident Fee Notice: Non-U.S. residents aged 16 and older will be charged an additional USD100 park entry fee per person after completing their booking. This fee will be collected by the tour operator via a payment link or on the bus at the start of your tour. Note that “America the Beautiful Non-Resident Pass” holders do not pay the USD100 fee, the USD250 pass covers up to 4 people at the entrance.
